The Calhoun County Chaplain Ministry program seeks to provide men and women incarcerated with access to a Chaplain and volunteers who desire to minister the Good News that hope, prosperity, and freedom from their sins can be overcome by discovering Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior! (Mathew 4:18,19 )
The Jail Chaplain delivers pastoral care, manages religious programs, and administers resources at the Calhoun County Jail through regular visits to the housing units, visiting rooms, and work sites (as permitted by the jail administrators).The Chaplain oversees a schedule of religious activities that provide equitable and reasonable opportunities for worship, study, and religious programs.
The Jail Chaplain serves inmates of all faiths and the correctional staff officers. He also is available for personal counseling and crisis intervention guidance (as appropriate).
